About Projeto Pescar
Founded in 1988, Projeto Pescar aims to mobilize and support Brazilian companies in creating units focused on developing young people in vulnerable situations. Today, there are over 70 active units across 9 Brazilian states, which have already trained and integrated more than 8,500 young people into the job market. There are plans for expansion, with five new units currently being implemented.
Since 1995, the project has been managed by the Fundação Projeto Pescar, which allows any company to join the initiative and contribute to its social and institutional impact. The Foundation has received international recognition, with awards granted by institutions such as the World Bank, UNESCO, and the American Chambers of Commerce in both Brazil and the United States.
